Kate Dickson

Veterinary Surgeon

Kate Dickson BVetMed MRCVS graduated in 2014 from Cardiff University with a degree in Zoology. As part of her studies, Kate spent a year working at Jersey Zoo, during which time she published a paper on cardiomyopathy in Livingstone’s fruit bats.

Kate then went on to vet school and graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2019 and moved from London to Kent to work in charity practice. Here she discovered a great interest in soft tissue surgery as well as the importance of the human-animal bond and animal behaviour.

As well as exotics and wildlife, Kate has a soft spot for cats having owned one for 16 years, and she has recently also fostered cats for the RSPCA. She hopes one day to have a canine friend or two as well!

At home Kate’s interests include anything creative such as painting, drawing, baking and sewing. She also enjoys yoga, running and generally exploring the countryside.
